Emergency Lighting Systems
ELS D Series
Emergency Lighting System

The new ELS D Series of emergency lighting systems conform to EN50171 and are designed to fit into the typical building risers. The boxes are shallow, only 325mm deep x 500mm wide and have heights between 750mm and 1200mm depending on the VA capacity and the battery autonomy of 60 minutes or 180 minutes.

This new product is unique, it has an LCD display for all the features you could imagine, Mains volts, VA, PF, Watts , DC amps, Inverter voltage, last test date, battery condition, load earth fault monitoring, output fuse blown, lamp fail etc. It additionally offers LED status indications & LCD Alarm indications with the access to set up parameters via the front LCD panel.

The ELS D products are designed and built here in the UK including the design of the microprocessor printed circuit boards and all software development. Manufacturing time is 4 working weeks.

Key Features:

  • The status of any luminaire type directly connected to the output can be remotely monitored and routinely tested, without the use of additional cables.
  • The four load circuits are individually fused. Terminals are provided for each of the luminaire circuits, eliminating the need for further outgoing distribution to the load.
  • ‘Fire Test’ input to command test mode, allowing the status of the unit to be monitored using any of the four alarm contacts.
  • Multi channel lighting service circuit integrity facility. If the loads are directly connected to the outputs of the unit, this will eliminate the need for addressable lighting fittings (luminaires) as the microprocessor detects any connected luminaire and monitors the VA consumption without the need for additional monitoring wires.
  • The integrity circuits also monitor earth leakage conditions in the four outgoing load cables and the luminaires with adjustable sensitivity that could reduce the fire risk hazard or remove the risk of personnel fatal electrical accidents from contact with live conductors.
  • The ELS can be programmed to run an automatic luminaire test and/or Battery test to check the integrity of the whole system (note the load test only works if there are no external hold-off relays between the unit & the luminaires). The results can be routed into a Building Management System via relays.
  • Optional data logging event recorder, can be interrogated from a remote location.
